Ingrediants
- 200 g of coconut flour
- 80 g of hazelnuts
- 100 g of dried plums
- 20 g of chia seeds
- About 100 ml of almond milk
- 100 g of avocado
- 20 g of bitter cocoa
- 1 pinch of salt
- 100 g of sultanas
- Raw food: 100 g of dark chocolate
Materials Needed
- Mixer
- Tray or baking tray
- Knife
- Scale weighs food
Preparation
- Soak the chia seeds in 100 ml of almond milk for about half an hour: a gelatinous mass will form.
- Soften the sultanas and prunes in water for about ten minutes.
- Chop the hazelnuts to obtain a powder.
- Gently melt the dark chocolate in a bain-marie, taking care not to exceed 42 ° C.
- After the necessary time, in a large electric blender, collect the coconut flour and the ground hazelnuts with the dried plums drained from soaking, the chia seed mass, the diced avocado, the bitter cocoa and a pinch of salt: blend until a compact paste is formed. Add the raisins and melted chocolate.
Did you know that ...
This is a raw food recipe because all the foods used have not been subjected to heat treatment above 42 ° C.
Almond milk can be substituted for coconut milk or hemp milk, prunes with dehydrated apricots or other dried fruit, and the brownie dough can be enriched with goji berries.
- Collect the mixture for the raw brownies in a pan and flatten with your hands. Leave to rest in the fridge for a couple of hours, or until the mass appears compact.
- Remove the cocoa block from the fridge, cut into squares and serve the brownies for breakfast or energy snack. They can be kept in the fridge for 3-4 days.
Alice's comment - PersonalCooker
The brownies that I have proposed to you are clearly a very risky reinterpretation of the traditional one, but if you try them you will discover a new taste that will surprise you.
Nutritional values and Health Comment on the recipe
Raw Food Brownies is a fairly high calorie recipe that belongs to the set of desserts.
Energy is mainly supplied by lipids, followed by carbohydrates and finally by proteins. Fatty acids are mainly saturated, simple carbohydrates and peptides with a low-medium biological value. Cholesterol is absent and fibers are very abundant.
The recipe does not contain gluten and lactose. There are some histaminoliberative ingredients.
Raw Brownies are not suitable for all diets. They are unsuitable for overweight and hypercholesterolemia (even if the fats are vegetable, partly of medium chain, they are still saturated).
Relevant in lactose intolerance and celiac disease, they could trigger an adverse reaction in case of histamine intolerance (the entity is subjective). The richness of dietary fiber increases intestinal peristalsis. They respect vegetarian and vegan philosophies.
The average serving of Raw Brownies is around 30 g (110 kcal).
