E507 HYDROCHLORIC ACID
Hydrochloric acid (HCl) - also known as hydrogen chloride or muriatic acid - is a natural acid obtained from salt and sulfuric acid. It appears as a clear, colorless or slightly yellowish corrosive liquid, with a pungent odor.
Soluble in water and ethanol, hydrochloric acid is used as an additive for its function as an acidity regulator.
It can be contained in various products, such as cheese and beer.
There are currently no known negative side effects on human health.
