Gelatin is a compound obtained from animal by-products, including bones, ligaments and skin.
It mainly has a stabilizing, thickening and gelling function.
Gelatin is a very common additive, which can be found in many products such as puddings, dairy products, cheeses, candies, ice creams, sorbets, etc. Furthermore, it is believed that this additive may contain traces of sulphites and monosodium glutamate (E621). It could also cause allergies and asthma.
