E161a FLAVOXANTINE (C.I. 75135)

Flavoxanthin is a yellow dye belonging to the xanthophyll family.
Very little research has been done on this additive and for the moment there are no known negative side effects; despite this, the use of flavoxanthin has been banned in Switzerland.
