E355 ADIPIC ACID
Adipic acid, in nature, can be found both in beet juice and in products rancid due to oxidation. It is an acidity regulator, an antiseptic compound and a perfume fixer.
Being a compound metabolized by our body and excreted in the urine, it is not very risky for health; consequently no significant side effects are reported in the literature.
ADI DOSE: 5 mg per kg of body weight.
