Ingrediants
- 350 ml of water
- 500 ml of Coca-Cola
- 250 g of sugar
- Untreated lemon juice
Materials Needed
- Casserole
- Whisk or wooden spoon
- Ice cream maker or baking dish
- Scale weighs food
Preparation
- Prepare the basic syrup. Pour the water into a saucepan and, as soon as it starts to boil, pour in the sugar, continuing to mix until completely dissolved. Allow to cool, first at room temperature then in the fridge for at least 6 hours.
- Mix the syrup with the very cold Coca-Cola® and the juice of half a lemon. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and stir until the right consistency is reached (which must be very similar to that of a sorbet).
Who does not own the ice cream maker
however, you can prepare Coca-Cola® granita. In this case, the mixture will need to be poured into a wide, low baking sheet. The dish must then be placed in the freezer and stirred every 30 minutes for 3-4 hours. In this way, it is possible to imitate the continuous creaming action of the ice cream maker, obtaining a granita with very small ice crystals.- Serve the Coca-Cola® granita (precisely called “gramolata”) in a glass, together with a few slices of lemon.
Alice's comment - PersonalCooker
So what do you say, is Coca-Cola® frozen enough? And I would add delicious! Serve it perhaps with a few “extra” slices of lemon: the heat of summer won't scare us anymore!Nutritional values and Health Comment on the recipe
