-
Ingrediants
- 375 g of semi-skimmed milk
- 10-15 g of potato starch
- 30 g of sugar
- 20 g of bitter cocoa
Materials Needed
- 1 saucepan with lid
- 1 whip
- 1 colander
- 1 cup
- 1 bowl
- 1 carafe
Preparation
- In a saucepan, pour a part of milk (about 200 ml) and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally with a whisk.
- Meanwhile, in another bowl, dissolve the unsweetened cocoa, sugar and starch in the remaining milk. Add the mixture obtained to the hot milk only when the latter has boiled.
Why melt the cocoa separately?
By combining the cocoa, sugar and starch dissolved in a little cold milk with the hot milk mixture, the preparation of the chocolate is facilitated, avoiding the formation of annoying lumps and the mixture sticking to the bottom of the saucepan.- Proceed to cook the chocolate always stirring, maintaining a moderate-sweet heat (avoid the open flame!). Those who want the most liquid chocolate can add a little more milk until the most suitable consistency is obtained.
- Serve immediately.
advise
If you want to prepare the chocolate in advance, for example a couple of hours before guests arrive, it is recommended to use 50-100 ml more milk because, when it cools, the chocolate tends to thicken. if necessary, heat the chocolate in a bain-marie or in the microwave to prevent it from sticking to the pan when cooking it again.Alice's comment - PersonalCooker
