- E381b: FERRIC AMMONIUM CITRATE (GREEN)
Ferric ammonium citrate is a compound formed by the union of ammonia, iron and citric acid (E330).
It is a product created to enrich iron-containing products and is an anti-hardening agent in salt.
It can therefore be present in salt, in baby food, in food supplements.
At the moment, it is not known what the real side effects of this additive are.
ADI DOSE: 0.8 mg of ammonium ferric citrate per kg of body weight.
