Stretching is an integral part of training and it is very important to practice it at the end of the stroke. It is used to stretch contracted muscles and promotes recovery, preventing injuries, as well as preparatory exercises.
Five simple exercises to be done outdoors to stretch the muscles most recruited during the race.

- Second exercise: stretch the quadriceps
- Third exercise: stretch the hamstrings
- Fourth exercise: stretch your back
- Fifth exercise: stretch your arms (biceps, shoulder, triceps)
