The climax for a witch is to be arachnophobic: spiders have always terrified me and sorcerers all over the world continue to mock me. It's time for a change! Spiders are friends of witches, and I have to put that in my head! So today I surrounded myself with spiders and even decided to build one with my own hands.

Ingrediants
For the spider
- 150 g of Manitoba flour
- 4 g of salt
- 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
- 5 g of brewer's yeast
- 5 g of sugar
- 70 ml of water
To decorate
- 20 g of sesame seeds
- 10 g of poppy seeds
- 2 pieces of cloves
- 1 piece of chilli
Materials Needed
- Bowl
- Scale weighs food
- Wooden stick or wooden spoon
- Pastry board
- Baking paper
- Baking tray
Preparation
- In a bowl, sift the Manitoba flour.
- Dissolve the brewer's yeast in warm water, slightly sweetened with a teaspoon of sugar.
- Pour the dissolved yeast into the center of the flour, add a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil, then add salt, avoiding direct contact with the yeast.
- Mix all the ingredients with a wooden spoon, then work the dough on the pastry board: you will have to obtain a smooth and soft dough, easily moldable and free of lumps.
- Place the dough in the bowl, cover with a sheet of cling film and leave to rise for at least an hour or until doubled in volume. To facilitate leavening, it is advisable to let the dough rest in a warm environment.
- After an hour, the dough will be swollen and soft. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C.
- Remove the pasta from the bowl and divide it into three parts, one larger and two smaller. Work the larger ball with your hands to get the spider's body. Stick one of the smaller balls into one end of the body to create the spider's head.
- Then divide the remaining ball into 8 parts: each piece thus obtained will constitute a spider's leg. To obtain 8 cords, about 10 cm long. Brush the legs with a little water, then roll them in sesame seeds (to obtain a "hairy" spider).
- Repeat the operation also on the spider's body and head.
- With your hands, pinch one end of each string on the spider's body to attach the legs to the pasta: the spider thus obtained must have 4 legs on each side.
The right idea!
To obtain a spider with "curled" and not flat legs, it is advisable to place the cords of pasta on two supports prepared with aluminum foil. It is recommended to refer to the video.- At this point, drill two holes on the spider's head and insert two cloves to form the eyes. For the mouth, make a cut under the eyes and insert a dried chilli pepper.
- Bake the bread immediately (20-25 minutes at 200 ° C), avoiding letting it rise again: in this way, the spider will keep its shape.
Alice's comment - PersonalCooker
Now I really think I have overcome my fears: no spider will be able to stop me! And now I turn to all of you: if you have friends who behave badly and who fear spiders, try to present them with a monster like this (maybe hide it under a bowl). Will you make their skin crawl, we bet?Nutritional values and Health Comment on the recipe
