Ingrediants
For about 10 balls
- 500 g of pistachio ice cream or chocolate ice cream or fiordilatte ice cream
- 200 g of dark chocolate
- 2 tablespoons of seed oil or coconut oil
- 50 g of white chocolate
- 1 tablespoon of decorations, sugars and silver beads
- 10 g of coconut flour
- 10 g of bitter cocoa
Materials Needed
- Ice cream portioner
- Bowls
- Chopping board
- Knife
- Fork
- Baking paper
- Sac à poche (optional)
Preparation
- Using the special portioner, make scoops of ice cream with the flavor of your choice (eg pistachio ice cream, cream ice cream).
- Place the scoops of ice cream on a tray lined with parchment paper. Leave the balls to set in the freezer for at least an hour to make the ice cream harden.
The alternative idea
As an alternative to the balls, you can make ice cream donuts: in that case, just insert the ice cream into donut-shaped single-portion molds, then letting the shapes congeal in the freezer.- Meanwhile, chop the dark and white chocolate separately.
- Collect the dark chocolate in a bowl and add a couple of tablespoons of seed oil or coconut oil: melt the chocolate in the microwave until the mixture is shiny and shiny.
- Collect the white chocolate in a small pastry bag or in a paper croissant made with baking paper.
- Remove the ice cream balls (which must appear hard and compact) from the freezer and quickly immerse them in the dark chocolate: to facilitate the operation, we recommend using a fork. Decorate with white chocolate, beads and sugars to taste before the chocolate cools If you like, roll the chocolate-coated balls in unsweetened cocoa powder or coconut flakes.
- Arrange the covered balls on baking paper and place in the freezer until ready to serve.
- The scoops of ice cream can be prepared well in advance: they can be kept in the freezer for up to a couple of months.
