Performing the Arnold press with modified handlebar:
- Stand with your feet open to hip width
- Take two dumbbells in your hands and hold them in line with your shoulders; the palm faces inwards towards the body while the elbows remain open and below the shoulders
- Push the dumbbells upwards and extend your arms above your head by rotating the palms of your hands and the dumbbells forward
- Bend your arms again bringing the dumbbells back to your shoulders; the elbows always come under the shoulders
- Repeat.
Common mistakes of the Arnold press with modified handlebars:
- Arch your back
- Close and excessively lower elbows.
