Brown FK or Kippler Brown is a brown azo dye of synthetic origin.
As an additive, it may be contained in some fish products, and its use is limited to a few products, as there is a possibility that it may be mutagenic.
If this dye is consumed in high concentrations, it is possible that it can settle in the kidney and lymphatic level. It can also cause hyperactivity, asthma, rhinitis, hives and insomnia. In addition, in combination with benzoates, it can cause hyperactivity in children.
It has also been banned in some non-EU countries because there is a risk that it could be carcinogenic.
