Performing Front Lunges with Twist:
- Stand up straight, keep your back straight and your feet slightly spread
- Bring your right leg forward about three steps and come down; as you come down, keep your right knee in line with your ankle and your left knee in line with your hip
- Go down until you touch the left knee almost to the floor and at the same time twist your torso 90 to the right
- Return to the starting position, step forward with your left leg and twist your torso to the left by 90 degrees
- Repeat and alternate the right leg with the left.
- Keep the knee of the front leg not parallel to the floor
- Rotate the legs as well as the torso during the twisting phase.
