Elbow extensions with dumbbell with torso flexion: Execution
The starting position sees the athlete with his torso bent with his back in his position of strength; with his left hand and knee resting on a flat bench; right foot resting on the ground; right shoulder extended or hyperextended; elbow flexed and handlebar gripped with neutral grip. The execution consists of extending the elbow until the forearm is parallel to the floor. With the shoulder extended (or hyperextended) and adduced, the contribution of the long head of the brachial triceps is very small. This exercise is one-sided and the description was made for the right side only; mirror reading to train the left side.
