Indications
What EUCLORINA® is and what it is used for
EUCLORINA® contains the active ingredient chloramine, belonging to the class of medicines known as antiseptics and disinfectants. These medicines work by slowing or preventing the growth of bacteria.
EUCLORINA® 1% cutaneous solution is used, in adults and children, for washes and packs in:
- Immediate disinfection of puncture and cut wounds, bruises, abrasions.
- Disinfection of the skin before injections.
- Disinfection of infected sores, abscesses (collections of pus inside a tissue), boils, paterecci (superficial inflammation of the extremities of the fingers), vesicles, skin ulcers.
Talk to your doctor if you don't feel better or if you feel worse.
Contraindications
When EUCLORINA® should not be used
Do not use EUCLORINA® if you are allergic to chloramine, substances similar to any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Precautions for use
What you need to know before using EUCLORINA®
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking EUCLORINA®.
This medicine is for external use only.
The use, especially if prolonged, of products for topical use can give rise to sensitization phenomena (excessive reaction of the organism to foreign substances with which it has come into contact), in this case stop the treatment and consult the doctor to establish a suitable therapy.
Do not use for prolonged treatments: after a short period of treatment without appreciable results, consult your doctor.
Interactions
Other medicines and EUCLORINA®
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used or might use any other medicines.
Avoid the simultaneous use of other antiseptics and detergents.
Warnings
It is important to know that:
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
This medicine can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Driving and using machines
EUCLORINA® does not affect the ability to drive or use machines.
Dosage and method of use
How to use EUCLORINA®
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Apply the medicine directly to the area to be disinfected using sterile gauze or cotton.
It can also be applied with a compress.
The bottle is equipped with a cap with a child-resistant safety closure system.
To open:
- Break the guarantee seal;
- Press on the top of the cap and turn at the same time.
To close:
- Screw tightly.
Do not exceed the recommended doses indicated without your doctor's advice.
Consult your doctor if the disorder occurs repeatedly.
Overdose
If you use more EUCLORINA® than you should
The accidental ingestion or inhalation of some disinfectants can have serious, sometimes fatal, consequences.
In case of accidental intake of an excessive dose of EUCLORINA® 1% cutaneous solution, notify your doctor immediately or go to the nearest hospital.
Side effects
Possible side effects of EUCLORINA®
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
It is possible, in some cases, of intolerance (burning or irritation), without consequences, which does not require a modification of the treatment as these side effects are generally transient.
However, when they occur, it is advisable to consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Compliance with the instructions contained in the package leaflet reduces the risk of undesirable effects.

If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. This includes any possible side effects not listed in this leaflet. You can also report side effects directly via the national reporting system at www.agenziafarmaco.gov. it / it / responsible.
By reporting side effects you can help provide more information on the safety of this medicine.
Expiry and Retention
How to store EUCLORINA®
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the package.
This date refers to the product in intact and correctly stored packaging.
Do not throw any medicines via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines you no longer use. This will help protect the environment.
Composition and Pharmaceutical Form
What EUCLORINA® contains
The active ingredient is chloramine. 100 ml of 1% solution contain 1 g of chloramine.
The other ingredients are: sodium carbonate monohydrate, sodium bicarbonate, purified water as required for 100 ml.
