Probably, it is the exanthematous disease with the highest incidence rate: chickenpox affects, in fact, about 90% of children under the age of 15, but it does not spare adults either. Chickenpox is characterized by fever, muscle aches, and disseminated vesicular eruptions (which evolve into scabs) accompanied by intense, constantly present itching.

and characterized by the appearance of a skin rash or rash, which develops in 3 successive stages:

1. Rosaceous macules;
2. Vesicles / pustules
3. Scabs.

In addition to these skin signs, chickenpox involves low fever and mild general symptoms such as a feeling of malaise, loss of appetite and headache.

Together with rubella, measles, whooping cough and mumps, chickenpox is counted among the contagious diseases of childhood, which in the majority of cases affect children between 5 and 10 years, despite not even sparing adults.
