Used only in selected adult patients, pomalidomide is administered orally, of course, under the close supervision of the specialist.

In Italy, the active ingredient can be found in a single medicinal product whose trade name is Imnovid®. It is a hospital drug (band H) that can be released in pharmacies upon presentation of a non-repeatable limitative medical prescription (or RNRL; drugs that can be sold to the public on prescription from hospitals or specialists).
