Cryptoxanthin is a yellow dye, of natural origin, belonging to the xanthyl family.
It is present in the orange peel, in the berries of the Alchechengi (Physalis alkekengi L .: perennial plant, belonging to the Solanaceae family, which produces edible berries) and in other plant species.
