When you go to the supermarket to buy something for your furry puppy, do you not dwell on the ingredients declared on the label? I have often observed this detail carefully, but to no avail because I could not get an "idea about the actual components of that" food. So, to remove any doubts, I decided to prepare something good for my dog: a sausage that, I'm sure, he will love!

Did you know that
The cooking liquid of the vegetables can be used to soften the dog's croquettes or to mix it with other food: in the cooking broth, in fact, vitamins and mineral salts of the vegetables are dispersed.
As an alternative to zucchini and carrots, you can use spinach, beets or beets. Also, it is possible to mix a portion of potatoes with sweet potatoes.- Mash the potatoes together with the carrots and courgettes. Allow to cool.
- Mix the minced meat with the vegetable puree, adding two eggs and parsley.
- Gradually add the breadcrumbs until you get a consistency that can be worked with your hands.
Salt
It is not necessary to add salt to the food of our furry puppy: the salt, especially when excessive, could create problems with blood pressure or cover the taste of the food.- Divide the mixture into four parts. Spread a part of the dough on a sheet of transparent film (resistant to high temperatures) and shape with your hands until you get the shape of a sausage. Wrap the meatloaf in plastic wrap to form a candy. Do the same operation with the others portions of dough.
- Boil the film-wrapped sausages in boiling water for 15-20 minutes.
- Remove from the cooking water, allow to cool and cut into slices.
- Serve the sliced sausage in the dog bowl, adding the vegetable broth to taste.
- Store the sausages in the fridge for 2-3 days or freeze them: in this case, storage can be extended up to a couple of months.
