Performing the Twist sit up with dumbbell:
- Sit with your feet flat on the floor, grab a dumbbell in your hands, hold both ends, lie on your back, bend your knees and bring the weight over your head while keeping your elbows flexed
- Contract your abs and hold the dumbbell tightly with your hands, lift your back and simultaneously straighten / rotate your arms and dumbbell to the right
- Come back with your back down keeping your head still and the dumbbell behind, contracting your abs, lift your back and straighten / rotate your arms (hence the dumbbell) to the left
- Repeat and alternate left and right side.
- Keep your legs extending to the floor
- Lift your feet during the twisting phase.
