Execution of the Sumo squat with elevated leg on the step:
- Place a step on your side and assume a standing position with your feet wider than shoulder width apart
- Place one foot on the step always maintaining the starting position; the feet must remain in line
- Keep your back straight, bend your knees and lower your buttocks towards the floor
- Control the descent and slowly, keeping your foot firmly on the step, rise with your body up and return to the starting position.
- Bring the knees past the tips of the feet which must always remain open
- Arch your back
- Do not keep the foot on the step in line with the foot on the ground.
