Performing Lunges with the Leg Raised:
- Stand up straight in front of a bench or chair
- From the chair or bench, take two long steps forward with both feet while maintaining balance on the right leg and placing the lower part of your left leg on the bench.
- Stand with your back straight and come down with your body towards the floor trying to keep the knee of the leg on the ground in line with the ankle (if the knee is not in line, move with the foot in support closer or further away from the bench) ; the knee of the raised leg follows the movement of the leg on the ground
- Change the arrangement of the legs and repeat.
- Arch the back as the body descends
- Step forward with the knee of the leg resting on the ground beyond the toe
- Move the lower leg to rest on the bench.
