Generality
Cardiogenic shock is a very serious medical condition, which very often arises following a myocardial infarction and is characterized by a reduced ventricular capacity.
The inability of the heart to contract and pump blood as it should cause the body's tissues and organs not to be adequately perfused (hypoperfusion) and oxygenated (hypoxia). This results in the typical manifestations of cardiogenic shock, which include hypotension, oliguria and dyspnea.
The diagnosis must be drawn up quickly, in such a way as to put into practice the therapies that the patient needs in the shortest possible time.
