Generally, coxarthrosis is due to a set of factors; among the latter, the advanced age, trauma and fractures of the hip, joint infections and congenital diseases of the hip undoubtedly stand out.
It should be noted, however, that coxarthrosis can appear even in the absence of plausible reasons (idiopathic coxarthrosis).
Coxarthrosis is characterized by three stages of increasing severity; from the first to the third stage, the symptoms of the condition gradually become more severe and debilitating for the patient.
The treatment of coxarthrosis mainly depends on the severity of the symptomatological picture: in the presence of mild or moderate symptoms, conservative therapy is sufficient; in the presence of very severe symptoms, however, surgery is required.
