ABIDEC ® is a drug based on vitamins A, D2, B1, B2, B5, B6, PP, C.
THERAPEUTIC GROUP: Multivitamins
Indications ABIDEC ® - Vitamin complex
ABIDEC ® is indicated to satisfy the daily vitamin requirement, when the diet alone is not sufficient or in cases of increased demand.
Mechanism of action ABIDEC ® - Vitamin complex
ABIDEC ® is a multivitamin capable of providing a broad spectrum of vitamins, the need for which tends to increase significantly in certain stages of life, such as pregnancy and growth or in particular pathological conditions such as severe trauma, major surgery, parasitosis, metabolic disorders and neoplastic pathologies.
Although the need for these micronutrients is decidedly low, the lack of these compounds affects the health of the whole organism, thus causing the appearance of anorexia, weight loss, asthenia, gastrointestinal disorders, dermatological diseases, neurological diseases and in the most cases serious, but fortunately rare and limited to particular populations at high risk, coma.
In fact, from a biological point of view, considering however that each vitamin acts selectively on a specific biochemical path, these nutrients guarantee:
- The advancement of numerous biological reactions, both of a catabolic and anabolic nature;
- The protection of biological structures from damage induced by reactive oxygen species;
- The synthesis of fundamental molecules from a metabolic and hormonal point of view;
- The regulation of gene expression and the control of cell proliferation and differentiation processes;
- The growth and renewal of various fabrics.
Different research groups are working to fully characterize the molecular activity of some vitamins, and in particular the ability to reprogram gene expression.
Studies carried out and clinical efficacy
1.VITAMINS IN THE PREVENTION OF SPONTANEOUS ABORTIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL.
Am J Obstet Gynecol. 2009 Dec; 201: 563.e1-9. Epub 2009 Oct 20.
Do multivitamin supplements modify the relationship between prenatal alcohol intake and miscarriage?
Ammon Avalos L, Kaskutas LA, Block G, Li DK.
Study that demonstrates how supplementation with multivitamins can reduce the risk of miscarriage associated with alcohol intake during pregnancy.
2.VITAMINS AND TELOMER LENGTHS
Am J Clin Nutr. 2009 Jun; 89: 1857-63. Epub 2009 Mar 11.
Multivitamin use and telomere length in women.
Xu Q, Parks CG, DeRoo LA, Cawthon RM, Sandler DP, Chen H.
The administration of multivitamin supplements has been shown to be useful in delaying the shortening of telomeres in women, a molecular indication of the biological aging of the cell and the deleterious effects of oxidative stress and chronic inflammation.
3.VITAMINS IN THE PREVENTION OF CONGENITAL DEFECTS
Birth Defects Res A Clin Mol Teratol. 2009 Apr; 85: 260-8.
Periconceptional folic acid and multivitamin supplementation for the prevention of neural tube defects and other congenital abnormalities.
Czeizel AE.
Work that demonstrates the efficacy not only of folic acid but also of more complete multivitamin complexes in the prevention of neural tube defects and other congenital anomalies in the unborn child.
Method of use and dosage
ABIDEC ®
Oral drops of 8300 IU of retinol palmitate, 1600 IU of ergo calciferol, 1.6 mg of thiamine hydrochloride, 2.86 mg of sodium riboflavin 5 monophosphate, 1.6 mg of pyridoxine hydrochloride, 16 mg of nicotinamide, 9.2 mg of sodium pantothenate and 83 mg of acid ascorbic acid per ml of solution.
