The inflammation that occurs is manifested by variable symptomatological pictures, mainly depending on the depth and localization of the skin surface involved. Usually, however, impetigo is characterized by the presence of red patches, bubbles and crusts.
Impetigo mainly affects children under 10 years of age, but it can also affect adults.
The treatment of impetigo essentially makes use of the use of antibiotics by general or local route.
