Preparation
Please note
To prepare this recipe we have selected a series of ingredients with purifying and antioxidant properties. The vegetables present here are rich in water, fiber, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants in general:- Celery boasts purifying, diuretic, digestive and potentially cholesterol-lowering properties.
- In Fennel, the active ingredients are concentrated in the fruits (seeds) and act at the level of detoxification systems by regulating liver function.
- Apple is rich in soluble fiber (pectin) which helps to keep cholesterol levels under control, appetite and regulate intestinal activity. It is also a source of vitamins (C, PP, B1, B2, A) and minerals (potassium, sulfur, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, iron, sodium). It has diuretic properties and is indicated against disorders of the gastrointestinal tract (diarrhea, constipation, bloating).
- Aloe vera is an extract obtained by squeezing the central portion of the leaves of Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis); it is rich in mucilage, lipids, enzymes, saponins, vitamins and minerals. It is used as an anti-inflammatory, immunostimulating and detoxifying agent.
- Ginger is used here for its cholagogue (beneficial effect on the liver, stimulating liver activity) and anti-inflammatory properties, as well as for its eupeptic (digestive) potential.
- Soak the fennel seeds in water to make them soft.
- Wash the celery, fennel and apple. Cut the vegetables into pieces. Peel half a lemon and set aside.
- Peel a small piece of fresh ginger.
- Centrifuge celery, apple, fennel, ginger, lemon and soaked fennel seeds to extract the juices. We recommend the use of a centrifuge capable of cold extraction of the juices, to preserve the active ingredients from rapid oxidation.
- Combine the aloe vera juice with the juice obtained and consume immediately, to prevent the oxidation of the active ingredients and maintain the properties unaltered.
Alice's comment - PersonalCooker
To help the body in the arduous task of eliminating toxins, it is advisable to reduce nerve substances (coffee, dark chocolate and all foods containing caffeine), foods rich in cholesterol, fast-food foods, pre-packaged snacks and alcohol. If possible, we also try to modulate the lifestyle, encouraging physical activity and reducing bad habits such as smoking!Nutritional values and Health Comment on the recipe
ATTENTION! It is not possible to accurately estimate the nutritional profile of the centrifugate, which is why the quantitative chemical details in the lines opposite are absent.
The Detoxifying Centrifugate is a drink that certainly does not exceed 35kcal / 100g (about 105kcal per serving, also based on the type of apple used). It is recommended in any type of diet and, thanks to the contribution of mineral salts, vitamins and certain other antioxidants, it favors the fight against free radicals. Furthermore, contextualized in an appropriate diet, it can be a valid nutritional contribution during the restoration of the desirable physiological weight.
