Cellulite depends on the combination of several triggering causes. Genetic-constitutional, circulatory and hormonal factors are in the first place.
The following can also contribute to its appearance:
- Poor diet (diet rich in fat and salt, "lightning" weight loss and poor hydration);
- Sedentary life.
Smoking, alcohol, and excessive stress tend to make it worse.
Posture defects and the habitual use of too tight clothes or inadequate and uncomfortable shoes (with high heels or low to the ground) facilitate water retention and slow down lymphatic circulation.
we need to act on several fronts.
Physical activity practiced regularly and consistently is very important to improve circulation and counteract the accumulation of adipose tissue. Brisk walking, cycling and aerobic sports are effective against cellulite.
Water sports, such as swimming, are ideal for harmoniously developing muscles, stimulating venous return and promoting the elimination of water stagnation. On the other hand, a sedentary lifestyle progressively leads to an increase in adipose tissue (fat) and promotes lymphatic stasis.
As for nutrition, however, it is essential to drastically reduce salt, which promotes water retention. Sausages, foods rich in simple sugars and saturated fats, alcoholic beverages and sweetened drinks, which favor lymphatic stasis and the accumulation of liquids and toxins. On the other hand, balanced diets that include fresh fruit and vegetables (citrus fruits, kiwi, pineapple, red fruits and others), legumes, fiber and lean meats, such as chicken and fish, are preferred. Drinking a lot of water, at least two liters a day, then purifies the body and favors the elimination of waste through the kidneys.
Taking care of nutrition, chewing not in a hurry and not exceeding in quantity are all rules that therefore play an important role in preventing cellulite.
