Generalities and types of Curry
Curry, or more precisely MASALA, is a spice compound of Indian origin; the term curry is a westernized word from the British people deriving from the noun CARI, which means soup.
Ingrediants
black pepper, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, turmeric, cloves, ginger, nutmeg, fenugreek and chilli.
Property
The main ingredient of curry is turmeric, a plant belonging to the botanical family of Zingiberaceae. The spice of turmeric, which is obtained by pulverizing the root and rhizome of the plant, can boast a concentration in CURCUMINA that reaches 2%. active-pharmacological principle, in concentrated doses, has proved to be very effective in the prevention or treatment (single or assisted) of some pathologies; the most significant results concern the prevention of intestinal neoplasms, the prevention and slowing down of nervous degeneration (such as "Alzheimer's) and the prevention with reduction of the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis.
The preventive power of curry is therefore linked to the anticancer, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant potential of curcumin, which has almost no side effects (toxicity obtained with doses of 8000mg / day); all the characteristics mentioned above are the result of more than 688 studies, of which over 400 have been published.
In particular, the anti-inflammatory action of curcumin contained in curry seems to play a fundamental role in the prevention of pathologies with inflammatory etiopathogenesis, as, like many drugs, it is able to drastically reduce the production of Tumor Necrosis Factor (TNF) avoiding its degenerative action.
