E513 SULFURIC ACID
Sulfuric acid (H2SO4) is obtained from sulfur dioxide, oxygen and water. It comes in the form of an oily liquid, very corrosive, transparent, colorless or brownish. Miscible with water, developing a lot of heat, as well as with ethanol.
Used as a food additive, sulfuric acid acts as an acidity regulator.
It can be contained in various products, such as beer and dairy products.
At the moment there are conflicting theses on the effects that this additive can have on human health: some researchers think it can be toxic and very irritating; others, however, consider it harmless to human health.
Therefore, since there is no certainty about the effects that this additive can have on human health, it is not recommended to consume high doses.
