E430 POLYOXYETHYLENE STEARATE 8
Polyoxyethylene stearate 8 is a natural compound produced starting from ethylene oxide and stearic acid.
It is an additive with a mainly emulsifying, thickening and stabilizing function, contained mainly in sauces and cosmetics.
At the doses normally used, there are no negative side effects, but it is thought to cause skin reactions, digestive upset, bladder and kidney stones at high doses.
It is essential to underline that people intolerant to propylene glycol should avoid the group of additives starting from "E430 up to" E436.
