Octyl gallate, or octyl gallate, is a synthetic antioxidant. It is a widely used additive in packaged foods, such as pretzels, soups in bags, some types of milk powder, chewing gum, etc.
It can cause: hyperactivity, hives, insomnia, digestive disorders, allergies.
Not recommended for asthmatics and for people sensitive to aspirin.
It is not recommended for use by pregnant women, nurses and infants.
ADI DOSE: 0.5 mg per kg of body weight per day
