- 20 g of grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 g of salt
- 1 pinch of pepper
- 1 pinch of garlic
- 10 ml of milk
Materials Needed
- High temperature resistant plastic bags
- Large saucepan
- Becker (optional)
Preparation
- Fill a high-sided saucepan with water and bring to a boil.
- Line the mouth of a beaker or glass jar with a high temperature resistant plastic bag.
Did you know that
The beaker has the sole function of supporting the plastic bag.
As a container for the omelette we used a plastic bag resistant to high temperatures, with a zip. As an alternative, a vacuum bag can be used.- Shell the eggs and collect them in the plastic bag. Add the seasoning: cooked spinach, salt, pepper, garlic powder, grated parmesan and a drop of milk. Close the plastic bag and from the outside, with your hands, mix the eggs with the filling
- When the water in the pot boils, insert the plastic bag, taking care that the egg mixture is completely immersed: as soon as the bag is introduced, a sort of vacuum will be created inside it. Not surprisingly, the procedure described, it is a form of sous vide cooking.
- Cook the omelette-omelette in boiling water maintaining a high flame for 2-3 minutes, according to the desired consistency.
- During cooking, you can hold the sachet with your hands or help yourself with tongs.
- Remove the sachet from the water, open the bag and slide the omelet. Taste immediately together with a "salad".
Alice's comment - PersonalCooker
This method is a genius and allows us to obtain a perfect result without using oil or butter, and avoiding to dirty bowls and utensils. In addition, cooking in the plastic food bag best preserves all the flavor of the omelette and the filling. Try it with other flavors too: the flavor will win you over!Nutritional values and Health Comment on the recipe
