Ingredients for 8 chapatis
- 200 g of semi-wholemeal flour or wholemeal flour
- About 100 ml of water
- 3 pinches of salt

Preparation
- In a bowl, mix the semi-wholemeal flour with the water and salt: knead with your hands until you get a dough that recalls the consistency of shortcrust pastry.
- Wrap the dough in cling film and let the dough rest for 15 minutes.
- Cut the dough into 6-8 equal pieces. Roll out each portion with a rolling pin, taking care to make a very thin, almost transparent sheet (chapati), with a diameter of 15-20 cm.
- Extremely heat a pan, until it is red-hot.
- Cook the wholemeal sheets for 2-3 minutes on each side, maintaining a moderate-lively flame.
