Threat of preterm labor and threat of abortion.
Contraindications When Vasosuprine should not be used
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Arterial haemorrhage in progress, recent cerebral haemorrhage, immediate postpartum period.
Precautions for use What you need to know before taking Vasosuprine
In the treatment of threats of pregnancy termination, a favorable outcome is difficult when the membranes are ruptured and cervical dilation is greater than 4 cm.
Interactions Which drugs or foods can modify the effect of Vasosuprine
Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have recently taken any other medicines, even those without a prescription.
No interaction studies have been performed.

The use of isoxysuprine during breastfeeding is not recommended.
Consult with your doctor before taking this medicine:
- If you have a history of heart disease, irregular heart rhythm or angina.
Although the frequency is not exactly known, some people may occasionally experience chest pain (due to heart problems such as angina). Tell your doctor / midwife if you get these types of symptoms while taking Vasosuprine, but do not stop taking the medicine at unless advised to do so.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Isoxysuprine is indicated in the treatment of the threat of preterm labor and the threat of abortion. It is not recommended for use during lactation.
Effects on ability to drive and use machines
Vasosuprine does not affect the ability to drive or use machines.
Dose, Method and Time of Administration How to use Vasosuprine: Posology
In the threat of preterm birth: continuous venous infusion at the rate of 0.2-0.5 mg / min until contractions stop; then proceed to the intramuscular administration of 1 ampoule every 3-8 hours and to oral maintenance therapy, until at the time of delivery.
In the threat of miscarriage: 1-3 tablets per day.
In the prophylaxis of abortion: 1-2 tablets per day, starting from the second month of pregnancy and for 1-2 months or more.
Overdose What to do if you have taken too much Vasosuprine
In case of accidental ingestion / intake of an overdose of Vasosuprine, notify your doctor immediately or go to the nearest hospital.
If you have any questions about the use of Vasosuprine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
No serious forms of overdose are reported. Gastric lavage is recommended if due to oral administration; in any case, if deemed necessary, intramuscular injection of a non-selective beta blocker is useful.
Side Effects What are the side effects of Vasosuprine
Like all medicines Vasosuprine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Especially with parenteral administration of high doses, tachycardia, dizziness and arterial hypotension may occur, more rarely nausea and vomiting.
A severe rash may occur. In this case, treatment must be interrupted and appropriate therapy instituted, if necessary.
Report any undesirable effect not described in the package leaflet to your doctor or pharmacist.
Compliance with the instructions contained in the package leaflet reduces the risk of undesirable effects.
If any of the side effects gets serious, or if you notice any side effects not described in this leaflet, please tell your doctor.
