Finally as an excellent support and in synergy with the passive technique I want to point out this new and little known bandaging technique: the neuromuscular taping -TNM - which, applied to the athlete after the detachment, completes the work of myofascial release through a further and continuous decongestant action on the treated muscles. Thanks to the convolutions - wrinkles - (see the first photos below) that the tape exerts on the skin is constantly maintained a vacuum on the underlying tissue layers, thus allowing free circulation of lymph, blood and interstitial fluids. After following a neurotapimg course - TNM - held by his friend Rosario Bellia - Physiotherapist of the Italian national team of the F.I.H.P and Teacher of Physical Education - I immediately put into practice Rosario's techniques and precious advice, with excellent results and satisfaction given the good feedback I had from the athletes I followed. In my humble opinion, when required, NeuroMuscular Taping represents a potential with multiple applications such as to be for me a precious and indispensable compound in sports massage sessions. For technical insights into this multifaceted taping technique, I recommend visiting the blog of Rosario Bellia.
