Product features Carnosine 250 - Eurosup
L-Carnosine- Dipeptide synthesized in the liver from two amino acids, L-histidine and Beta-alanine, and particularly concentrated in skeletal muscle and in the human brain. It can also be introduced through the diet, through protein foods, cross the gastrointestinal tract and be absorbed still intact through specific transporters (PEPT); specifically conveyed, carnosine reaches the various tissues where it can be used or hydrolyzed by specific enzymes. , known as carnosinase, mainly expressed in the blood, kidney and liver. Although its biological mechanism has not yet been fully characterized, carnosine has proved particularly effective in:
- Counteract the oxidizing activity of ROS;
- Buffering the tissue acidity;
- Modulate the immune and inflammatory response;
- Counteract the formation of advanced glycosylation products;
- Protect the nervous system from aging and oxidative insult;
- Support visual capabilities.
For these properties it is currently tested in the treatment of numerous pathologies, from neurodegenerative to cardiovascular ones, from metabolic to oxidative ones.
L-carnosine in sports Carnosine 250 - Eurosup
The use of carnosine in sports is due to some of the aforementioned functions, and in particular to the antioxidant and buffering action:
Antioxidant action: particularly important to counteract the oxidative damage induced by intense physical exercise. This results in an improvement in athletic performance and in a greater post-workout recovery capacity.
Buffering action: becomes necessary especially during intense physical exercises, where the low concentration of oxygen induces an increase in lactic fermentation, with the production of H + and lactic acid, which is potentially harmful due to its action contrasting the contractile capacities and for the possibility of increasing the feeling of fatigue.
The role of carnosine in sports seems to be justified also by other properties, such as those of promoting peripheral vasodilation and increasing the levels of 2,3 diphosphoglycerate, definitely improving aerobic capacity.
It should also be noted that the carnosine pull in athletes undergoing strength training, such as bodybuilders, is twice that of healthy untrained subjects, further underlining a key role in muscle functioning.
Rationale for use Carnosine 250 - Eurosup
Several studies show the various benefits that can be drawn from carnosine supplementation in sports, especially related to the improvement of athletic performance. The acute administration of carnosine before training can in fact be essential for the buffering action at the blood level, with the consequent reduction of the sensation of fatigue. But the best results are obtained by increasing the muscle carnosine pull, with consequent increase in levels maximum strength, average strength levels and aerobic capacities.For this supplement, in fact, the same benefits recorded for beta alanine are recorded, since both aim to increase the muscle levels of this dipeptide.
Method of use recommended by the company - Carnosine 250 - Eurosup
It is recommended to swallow one serving (2 tablets) of CARNOSINE 250 per day with water or other liquid of your choice.
Directions for use in sports Carnosine 250 - Eurosup
In sports practice, very different dosages are used ranging from 500 mg up to several grams per day.
However, the buffering effect seems to occur already at the quantities expected in a healthy diet (50 / 50mg). Also in this case it seems advisable to divide the daily portion into small doses, in order to reduce the hydrolytic action induced by carnosinase and at the same time reduce it. also renal excretion.
With this product, 500mg per day could be satisfied with 2 simple intakes, one in the morning and one 60 minutes before training, as various studies have shown that plasma carnosine concentrations increase 15 minutes after ingestion, with a peak which is about 2.5 hours.
How to optimize your business - Carnosine 250 - Eurosup
As described for beta alanine supplements, the synergy with creatine has been shown to be particularly useful both in improving the ergogenic and anabolic properties, recording a significant increase in muscle mass in several studies. Furthermore, creatine has been shown to be useful in increasing muscle carnosine stores, albeit temporarily.
Particularly effective could also be the synergy with antioxidants such as vitamin E, glutathione, selenium and lipoic acid, in counteracting the damage induced by intense physical exercise with an improvement in the recovery phase.
Carnosine 250 side effects - Eurosup
There does not appear to be any toxic effects associated with carnosine, especially when it is consumed at doses comparable to those that would be obtained with a healthy diet.
Doses higher than 500mg, used in anticancer trials, have proved equally safe.
In experimental models, even at doses of 50mg / kg, no side effects were recorded.
However, there is a lack of long-term clinical trials.
Precautions for use Carnosine 250 - Eurosup
The product is contraindicated in cases of renal or hepatic pathology, cardiovascular disease and / or hypertension, during pregnancy, during lactation and under 14 years.
