The main property of agrimony is that local and topical disinfectant on skin and mucous membranes. The only correct clinical indications, confirmed for internal use, are the treatment of pharyngitis, stomatitis, and mild acute diarrhea, while for external use the drug can be used for the treatment of exudative dermatitis, abrasions and wounds (in the dermato-cosmetic field agrimony boasts anti-inflammatory, soothing, refreshing, astringent, antiseptic and sebum-regulating properties).
