Sorbitan monoleate is produced from sorbitol and oleic acid.
It mainly has an emulsifying and stabilizing function.
It can be contained in different products (see the article on sorbitans)
It does not appear to have any negative side effects to human health.
ADI dose: 26 mg per kg of body weight.
