E474 SACCAROGLICERIDI
Saccharoglycerides are the product of the reaction between sucrose and fatty acids.
Fats can be of either vegetable or animal origin.
These food additives are used, in the various products, for their emulsifying and stabilizing function; participate in the treatment of flour.
They are often confused with L "E473, but they are different food additives.
Saccharoglycerides can be contained in various foods, such as in sauces, soups, desserts, milk drinks, soft drinks, candies and sugared almonds, and in some food supplements.
At the moment there are no known negative side effects for human health, as the body metabolizes all the components of the saccharoglycerides just like the sugar and fats contained in food.
ADI dose: 16-20 mg per kg of body weight.
