E442 AMMONIUM PHOSPHATES
Ammonium phosphates are obtained from ammonia and phosphorylated fatty acids, mainly obtained from rapeseed oil.
They mainly act as stabilizers and synthetic emulsifiers.
They are often used in chocolate and cocoa-based products. In high doses, they can cause digestive disturbances and poor assimilation of minerals. However, not a lot of research or studies have been done on this additive, so there is no reliable information on the side effects of ammonium phosphates.
ADI DOSE: 30 mg per kg of body weight.
