Ingrediants
Proportions to be respected to obtain a thick and creamy vegetable cream:
- 1 part (100 ml) of soy milk
- 2 parts (about 180 ml) of corn oil
Materials Needed
- Immersion mixer
- Becker or container with high edges
- Spatula
- Bowl
Preparation
- Pour soy milk and oil into a beaker.
- Insert the mixer and blend until the desired consistency is obtained.
- Transfer the vegetable cream to a bowl, cover with cling film and allow to cool for at least an hour.
The advice OK
If you want to prepare salty foods with vegetable cream (eg flavoring pastas or making sauces), I recommend using self-produced and unsweetened soy milk. It is however possible to use prepackaged and sweetened soy milk: in this case, however, the vegetable cream is suitable for the preparation of desserts.
