Ingrediants
Ingredients for 6 donuts
- 100 g of white flour of type 00
- 50 g of butter
- 1 pinch of salt
- 120 g (2 medium) of eggs
- Half a teaspoon of baking powder
- 50 ml of juice and peel of untreated oranges
- 60 g of sugar
- 50 g of frumina
For the icing
- 100 g of powdered sugar
- 20 ml of orange juice or water

- Electric whips
- Juicer
- Lemon grater or row
- Sieve
- 6 donuts silicone mold
- Bowls of various sizes
- Scale weighs food
- Ladle with spout
Preparation
- In a bowl, sift the white flour, baking powder and frumina. Mix the powders by adding the sugar.
- Flavor with the grated zest of an organic orange (previously washed).
- Gently melt the butter in the microwave or in a saucepan. Pour the melted butter into the center of the dry ingredients.
- Squeeze the orange and pour 50ml of juice into the bowl.
- Shell the eggs and divide the yolks from the whites. Add the egg yolks to the remaining ingredients and mix until a compact mixture is obtained.
- Whip the egg whites until stiff, adding a pinch of salt to facilitate the whipping.
- Add the egg whites until stiff to the prepared mixture, taking care to always mix from top to bottom to avoid letting the mixture collapse.
- Place the silicone molds on a baking sheet. Distribute the cream obtained in the molds, filling them up to 2/3 of the height.
- Place in the oven immediately at 180 ° C and bake for about 15-20 minutes.
- Remove the donuts from the molds and allow to cool completely.
- Prepare the icing by mixing the icing sugar with one or two tablespoons of orange juice: the consistency must be semi-liquid.
- Place the fluffy donuts on a wire rack and pour the glaze, letting it drip.
The right idea
For a better presentation, you can grate more orange zest directly on top of the glaze and serve the donuts with chocolate eggs.- Allow the glaze to solidify and serve.
