Materials Needed

Preparation
- First, line a 20 cm diameter springform pan with parchment paper or brush the walls with the release agent for baking sheets.
- Gently wash the figs and cut them into horizontal slices or wedges.
- Collect the hazelnuts in a blender and chop them to obtain an impalpable powder.
- In a bowl, sift the white flour along with the unsweetened cocoa and baking powder. Add the brown sugar, a pinch of salt and flavor to taste with vanilla essence.
- Mix the powders with the liquid ingredients, ie with milk, seed oil and an egg.
The right idea
Figs go very well with both cocoa and lemon. For the version without cocoa, we recommend flavoring the mixture with plenty of lemon zest, the filtered juice and adding half a glass of limoncello to taste.
Hazelnuts can be replaced with almonds, maintaining the recommended doses.- Pour the mixture into the pan and level with a spatula.
- Decorate the surface with slices and fig wedges, covering the entire surface.
- Put the cake in the oven and bake at 160 ° C for about 40 minutes.
- Remove the fig cake from the oven, allow to cool and serve.
Alice's comment - PersonalCooker
The base of the cake is perfect: soft enough to be eaten as it is, but also delicious to soak in milk! If you don't like figs, you can replace with other fruits: peaches, apricots, apples, pears, cherries and more.Nutritional values and Health Comment on the recipe
