- 41 KCal Calories per serving
-
Ingrediants
- 100 g of papaya
- 50 g of red fruits
- 400 g (2 large) of untreated oranges
- 400 g (2 large) of apples
- 100 g of kiwi
- Untreated lemon juice
- 100 g of strawberries
Materials Needed
- Knife
- Chopping board
- Scavino
Preparation
- Wash the fruit thoroughly, first in a solution of water and bicarbonate, then rinsing it with fresh water.
- Prepare the first apple basket. Cut the cap of the apple to about 2 cm. Make 8 crescent-shaped incisions on the cap, then carve to form a flower. We recommend that you refer to the video. Dig the body of the apple with a digger or with a small knife with a sharp blade, until the inside is completely emptied, taking care not to break or damage the peel. Drip a few drops of lemon juice inside the apple basket so as not to blacken (oxidize) the pulp. Snap the flower-shaped cap onto a wooden stick and insert it into an edge of the apple. Prepare another basket with the second apple.
- Prepare the second type of basket with oranges. Prepare the handle of the basket: place the orange on the work surface, placing the stalk on our left. Starting from the petiole, with a knife, draw two parallel lines maintaining a distance of about 1 cm. Cut two slices of orange on the side of the incision, at the height of the base of the handle. Once you have the handle, dig the inside of the orange and remove the pulp from under the handle, being careful not to damage the peel.
The alternative idea
Those who wish can prepare the fruit salad in larger baskets prepared with the "shells" or with the skin of melon, watermelon, pineapple, grapefruit and many other fruits.
An alternative idea? Try filling the baskets with frosted fruit!- Peel the kiwi, cut it into slices and, with the help of a cookie cutter, obtain shapes.
- Once you have the baskets, fill them with red fruits, papaya pulp, apple and kiwi balls.
- Leave the fruit salad in the fridge for a couple of hours and serve.
