- 60 g of butter
- 300 g (6 bars) of Mars
- 180 g of puffed rice
To decorate
- 80 g of white chocolate
Materials Needed
- Pot for the bain marie
- Large bowl
- Hinged pan with a diameter of 24 cm or a donut mold
- Wooden spoon
- Latex gloves
- Baking paper
- Small saucepan to melt the chocolate
- Chopping board
- Knives
- Sac à poche
Preparation
- Line a 24 cm diameter springform pan or a donut mold with parchment paper.
- Cut the Mars® into small pieces.
- In a bain-marie pot, melt the butter and add the pieces of Mars®. Continue to mix until completely dissolved.
- In the same bowl as the water bath, pour the puffed rice and mix quickly with the wooden spoon.

It is also possible to pour the Mars® cream over the puffed rice (therefore not over the fire): in this case, however, extreme care must be taken because the caramel contained in the Mars® tends to thicken quickly. Working the puffed rice directly in the bain-marie container prevents rapid cooling, thus managing to distribute the cream more easily on the puffed rice.- Immediately fill the pan with puffed rice and flatten it with your hands protected by latex gloves.
- Leave the cake to solidify for an hour in the refrigerator.
- Melt the white chocolate in a bain-marie, pour it into a pastry bag and decorate the Mars® cake before cutting it into slices or cubes.
