However, faced with the need to contain the infection and to continue production activities, many companies, also on the recommendation of the Italian government, have promoted this form of work.
Hence, many people have had to "carve out" a space inside their home (the classic workplace of those who practice smart working), in order to work with serenity and concentration on a PC or any other digital device connected to Internet.
This article aims to analyze the purely physical consequences that can arise from a poorly ergonomic home workstation or from a neglect of the postural indications to be adopted while using a computer.
Before proceeding, however, it is important to pause briefly on the reasons for the postural problems connected to smart working: for some, these problems can be explained by the lack of knowledge of the ergonomics of the terminal workstations; for someone else, on the other hand, they are a reflection of the greater freedom granted by agile work, which can induce the employee to exercise their profession even on a sofa or in bed, rather than in the room equipped with a desk and chair (possibly ergonomic).

- Pelvis, hips and knees.
Consequently, a lack of ergonomics or a lack of attention to the posture to be assumed in front of the PC can mainly cause problems and pain in:
- Neck;
- Back;
- Shoulders and wrists;
- Hip bone.
