The leg muscles are the muscles with total or partial seat in the skeletal compartment between the thigh and the foot and which includes the tibia and fibula bones.
The muscles of the leg contribute to fundamental movements for locomotion. In this case, they contribute to: plantarflexion, dorsiflexion, extension of the leg and toes, flexion of the leg and toes, eversion of the foot and inversion of the foot.
