"Supradyn
WHEN IS IT INDICATED?
Supplementation with supradyn is indicated in case of reduced intake of vitamins and minerals with the diet or increased need, which can be observed in some risk groups such as:
- Patients suffering from malabsorption diseases;
- Patients undergoing prolonged antibiotic therapy;
- Deficiency pictures from hypovitaminosis;
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding (under strict medical supervision).
- Competitive athletes, subjected to intense and frequent training;
- Unbalanced and unbalanced diets.
WHEN AND HOW IS IT POSSIBLE TO DO WITHOUT IT?
Very recent data from authoritative sources, claim that about a third of the population makes indiscriminate use of supplements and in particular of multivitamin supplements such as supradyn. In such a context, the question that opens the paragraph takes on a crucial value in the critical evaluation of why it is necessary to take the supplement and how to put oneself in a position to be able to do without it, obtaining all the nutrients - macro and micro - from the diet alone. indispensable for the correct functioning of the human organism. To put oneself in these conditions, it is necessary to start from the errors and from the "essential characteristics" of the current diet, and then to seek the appropriate remedies.
With this assumption it is therefore possible to list the various factors that daily impoverish our diet and our body of the elements contained in supradyn and similar supplements:
- Reduction of food quality: more and more are the intensive breeding, which oblige the animals to live under constant stress and to feed on enriched feed; widespread is the use of pesticides, the chemical ripening of fruit, and the inexorable impoverishment of the land, with a consequent decline in the nutritional value of the foods that reach our table;
- Industrial and domestic manipulations (refining, cooking, shredding, dough ...): deprive a food that is already poor at the start, of the remaining amount of micro elements;
- Diets with a high content of refined products and a low content of wholemeal products: most people prefer the convenience of consumption and the taste of a product enriched with sweeteners and preservatives, over the naturalness of a fruit or a wholemeal product;
- Lifestyle: it is now known that coffee, alcohol, cigarettes, drug abuse, etc., reduce both the functional capacity of the organism and the absorption of these substances.
All this, and much more, should make us reflect on how hypocritical and useless it is to resort to any supplement without first implementing all those corrections, due and necessary, to improve our person in nutritional and physiological terms.
At this point, having become clear the possible points for improvement, let's see how to put them into practice:
- By increasing the consumption of fruit and vegetables, bringing it to at least 5 portions a day;
- Alternating foods daily, using OUR food pyramid as a precious scheme;
- Preferring whole and integral products;
- Trying to reduce the consumption of substances that interfere with the normal absorption of vitamins and minerals.

SUPRADYN: WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
Supradyn effervescent tablets contain about 300 mg of sodium each, so in individuals on hypochlorinated diets, it would be preferable to recommend the tablet form.
During pregnancy, do not exceed the recommended intake of Vitamin A (6000/7000 IU).
SUPRADYN: MODE "D" RECRUITMENT
The manufacturer suggests taking one coated or effervescent tablet per day. Given the presence of fat-soluble vitamins, it would be preferable to take the supplement at breakfast, in order to favor its absorption which is mediated by bile, whose secretion increases in followed by a meal rich in lipids.
SUPRADYN: SIDE EFFECTS
In the package insert of supradyn, the manufacturer reports the absence of side effects associated with the administration of this product. For a correct understanding and information, it is however advisable to remember - as partly indicated in the "leaflet" - that some vitamins may interfere with the absorption of certain drugs, such as levopoda used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease, and worsening some gastrointestinal diseases such as ulcers. In addition, particular attention should be paid to the content of fat-soluble vitamins, which - if accumulated above certain concentrations - can be responsible for nausea, migraine, asthenia, loss of appetite, liver fatigue and hemorrhages.
For pregnant women, moreover, vitamin A could be particularly harmful if taken too high doses, given its teratogenic action on the fetus.
In light of these data, any person, man or woman, healthy or ill, should consult their doctor before taking a product such as supradyn.
